MARY COLE
I have always been inspired by children’s thoughts and words. Most of my nursing career involved working with children while I taught nursing students at a university. Parenting my own three children allowed me to learn about various stages of development. Now, in retirement, I have time to reflect on my own sweet memories.
I grew up in the country outside of London, Ontario and attended a one room schoolhouse. In those days, the only technology was a family phone, therefore children played outside every season and used their imagination. After graduating from a city highschool and then a Nursing School where I lived in the hospital residence, I furthered my education by completing various degrees at the University of Windsor (PHN, BScN, Ba Psychology, MSc in Nursing).
I still enjoy spending my spare time outside, by cycling, hiking, canoeing, camping in our RV, traveling and spending treasured times with our children & grandchildren. It is these experiences that motivate me to create more stories to share with others.
